How did the idea of an adventure cat series come about?
It all started with a hike.
Really! It did.
Buckley is a rescue cat trained by his outdoorsy humans to be an adventure cat. The problem was, Buckley didn’t like adventures. He didn’t even like his harness. He would not walk outside and would try to go back into the house. He wanted to stay inside and be a stay-at-home cat instead of an adventure cat.
Even thought his humans were disappointed that Buckley wasn’t interested in being outdoors, they respected his behavior and went on adventures without him.
One day while the humans were hiking, the idea of a picture book came about: what would happen if Buckley actual did like hiking and going on adventures? What would that look like? What stories would he tell?
Thus, the idea was born!
